My name is Lori Turner. I am an English teacher at Western Brown High School. I currently teach three sections of English 1 and three sections of CP English 1. One of my favorite things to do is read. I read all the time. Sometimes I am in the process of reading three to four books at the same time. My all-time favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I have probably read this book 100 times or more.
I have a great family that I am crazy about.
My husband’s name is Rick Turner. He is an attorney in Eastgate. He is crazy, funny and an awesome dad.
Rick and I have 3 children.
The oldest is Kyle. He is 23 and a Graduate of The University of Cincinnati. He just moved to China for a year to teach English in a city named Chongqing. The city is supposed to be larger than New York City. I am a nervous wreck thinking about him being so far away. I apologize ahead of time if I get weepy when I talk about him being away.
My daughter Mary is 19 and a sophomore at The University of Cincinnati. She is working on a degree Spanish and International Studies. She plans on spending next summer in Barcelona, Spain in the study abroad program. Mary says she is interested in joining the Peace Corp. after getting her undergrad degree, then returning to Graduate school to becoming an immigration lawyer .
Will (Aka Wild Willie, W.D., or Dub-ya. The kid has more nicknames that he knows what to do with.) is our youngest. He is 14 and in the 9th grade. He is a complicated bugger. Sometimes shy and quite, sometimes loud and obnoxious. For years he was obsessed with the military (he would only wear camouflage clothes), but now he has decided he may want to be a police officer, game designer, a blogger or a permanent pain in my butt.
I love them all like crazy.
